1. About GiftWit

GiftWit is a price-comparison and deal-finding website (and Discord bot) operated by the owner of giftwit.co.uk, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. By using the site or any of our services you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the service.

2. What we do, and what we don't

We surface trending products and the lowest live price we can find across partner retailers such as eBay and Amazon. We are not the seller. Your purchase is a contract between you and the retailer. We do not hold stock, take payment for products, ship goods, or handle returns for them.

3. Affiliate disclosure

GiftWit takes part in affiliate programmes including the eBay Partner Network and the Amazon Associates Programme. When you click a deal and buy, we may receive a small commission from the retailer, paid out of their margin. It does not add anything to the price you pay. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.

4. Price and availability accuracy

Prices, discounts, "was" prices, images and stock are fetched live from third-party retailers and are correct only at the moment of retrieval. They can change at any time. The retailer's own listing at the time of purchase is the authoritative source. We are not liable for price changes, listing errors, out-of-stock items or anything that happens after you click through.

5. Memberships

We offer optional paid plans, currently Plus (£3.99/month) and Pro (£9.99/month), billed monthly in advance through Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. You can cancel at any time and will keep access until the end of the paid period. Prices may change with notice; changes apply from your next billing cycle. See our Refunds & Cancellation Policy.

6. Price-drop alerts

Alerts are provided on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee that an alert will fire, be accurate, or reach you in time to buy at a given price. Free accounts are limited to a set number of active alerts.

7. Donations

Donations are voluntary and you receive no goods or services in return. They are non-refundable. Crypto donations are sent on public blockchains and are irreversible: please check the coin and network carefully before sending, as we cannot recover funds sent to the wrong address or network.

8. Acceptable use

You must not:

• Abuse, scrape, reverse-engineer or overload the site or its APIs;
• Use bots or scripts to generate clicks or alerts;
• Click your own affiliate links to manufacture commission (this also breaches the retailers' affiliate terms);
• Use the service for anything unlawful or to search for prohibited goods.

We may restrict or remove access for breach, without notice.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant uninterrupted availability, that any recommendation will suit you, that prices shown are the absolute lowest available, or that retailers will fulfil orders. Use your own judgement before buying.

10. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including for fraud, or death or personal injury caused by negligence), or your statutory rights as a consumer. Subject to that, to the maximum extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you for any claim will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months or £20.

11. Changes

We may update these terms (for example as features or pricing change). The "Last updated" date will change. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales. This does not remove protections you have under the law of your country of residence.
